JULIA COOKE

I am an artist, therefore I am storyteller. I am trained as an actress, director, singer, dancer, and theatre educator, however, no matter the medium through which I am working, I am always telling stories. Theatre has an incredible magic power that exists on stage in its ability to communicate stories. I am drawn to theatre because through this storytelling one can convey meaningful messages, uplift and empower voices, evoke empathy, and connect people. I work to do this through clear and effective communication, multi-perspective and open-minded collaboration, a drive and work ethic for exploring multiple aspects of theatre, and through a Humanist lens. While I hope my career will take me down many avenues, I will always be connected to my artistry through my role as a storyteller.
